Community Gardens Need Communities!
To build a genuine community nutrition and urban gardening program, we need your help! We can use people power at each of our school or community gardens, and most especially at the Master Peace Community Garden. The Master Peace Community Garden's gates are always unlocked. You will find us there every Thursday from 10 AM to 3 PM preparing produce for sale at the Riverdale Farmers Market. We are also always at the garden every Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM for general garden maintenance. A list of current garden tasks can be found on the bulletin board on the shed.
We also need additional funding to maintain and advance our community nutrition and urban farming programs. We rely on grants and donations, as well as income from sales at the Riverdale Farmers Market, to maintain existing and buy needed equipment, seeds and supplies. Please visit the Riverdale Farmers Market regularly on Thursdays to purchase healthy and locally produced fruits and vegetables from our market stand and from other local farmers.
If you can make a donation of money to our program, please do so at our donation page or deliver a check to us in person at the Center for Educational Partnership.
